This post is inspired by the theme I chose for my site at Xanga.
The beautiful winter scene brought to my mind the many winters I have spent in quiet reflection and deep pondering. A snow covered landscape enhances such a state of thought. In itself, the snow is a symbol of the state of mind in winter, still, thoughtful…time itself has slowed down, frozen like the still white snow that covers the earth.

Hi! My name is Cheryl Lynn Gardner, better known to most people as Summer Breeze. I have had a passion for writing for years. I also enjoy pen names, being a fan of Benjamin Franklin. Some of my pen names have been "Mary Sunshine" and "Midnight Rider", which was used for my peace and healing work at rainbow gatherings. Hence, I chose a pen name that is a play on that name, The Midnight Writer. The association is obvious since I am a free lance and sometimes creative writing.
