Post Number Ten, Whew!
Well folks, I am back. It is still March 13, 2008 but I had more to say on this blog.
I encountered another problem in my freelance writers quest. This time, the problem lies not with blogs or companies who hire bloggers, but with my website software. My husband, Cephas, and I have spent about two hours communicating with a tech at earthlink because my website Mountain Spirit Productions will not open in a browser, nor will it open in the trellix webshell, where I created the site.
Two days ago, I signed up to one of the Site Pal accounts, where a cute animated character speaks whatever text is programmed into the particular program. Well, after loading this cute addition to my website, everything halted. My site cannot receive page views nor can I edit.
Now, Sitepal was supposed to increase my website traffic. The exact opposite happened! For two days, no one has been able to view my site. Even more, I have been rejected by a new company because the company was unable to view my website. How unfortunate!
I have to say in all fairness that it is not vhost’s software. Rather, it was my inexperienced incompetence that caused the problem once again. I loaded the java script under the wrong body tag, which altered all the commands within my site. Trellix does not recognize the command so my site will not edit or view.
The earthlink customer service techs are still working on the problem. Actually, they had to refer it to the engineers.
Maybe this time tomorrow, my website will be good as new!
Just another day in the life of The Midnight Writer, Free Lance writer and correspondent. Have a beautiful day!
