Republican Convention: Police Attack A Peaceful Crowd
With the approach of early morning this September 11, 2008, one can hardly avoid thinking about that terrible day when the twin towers fell in Manhattan. At first my mood went somber as I contemplated the memories and events of that day seven years ago. Then, reality shook me to a fully awakened realization of the state of this great nation of America. On the eve of this seven year memorial for the disaster of the twin towers and Flight 93, a Presidential campaign spawns tyrannical tactics upon America’s people. The mood plummets from somber to sheer outrage that this could happen in the most free nation in the world.

Hi! My name is Cheryl Lynn Gardner, better known to most people as Summer Breeze. I have had a passion for writing for years. I also enjoy pen names, being a fan of Benjamin Franklin. Some of my pen names have been "Mary Sunshine" and "Midnight Rider", which was used for my peace and healing work at rainbow gatherings. Hence, I chose a pen name that is a play on that name, The Midnight Writer. The association is obvious since I am a free lance and sometimes creative writing.
