Inspired by Bob Marley
The journey takes Cephas, my husband, and I across the nation to Washington D.C. where we are scheduled to meet with the Undersecretary of Agriculture regarding an alternative means of compliance to Forest Service regulations at rainbow gatherings. This meeting will take place on October 31, 2008.
Yes folks, on all Hallows Eve we will be in the city of DC for this night when the dead and the living cross that inivisible veil that opens a portal between the two worlds. It should be a fascinating experience to say the least!
Tonight, we met a man who wishes to remain anonymous, who volunteered to help with a gas card for our trip and in making flyers to share the message. Nice to meet folks who are willing to help a good cause for “the people” of this country.
By now you are probably wondering how Bob Marley fits into all this. Right?
Again, we were sitting in Starbucks in Auburn, California working on php files for our domain blog at http://mountainspiritproductions.org/wordpress/blog.php4. We loaded a new theme then the blog ceased functioning, so with a little hep from customer support at Earthlink, we learned about changing the scripting to all the php file extensions. That did not work! I didn’t get discouraged though, because I was listening to Bob Marley on the Starbuck’s radio. Bob Marley’s music picked me right up and sailed me through the night.
I especially like the song that goes “by the rivers of Babylon”. My rainbow friends Martyheartsong and Gary from Rainbowcrytstalkitchen sing this song together at rainbow gatherings. I feel inspired! And I miss my friends from around the country. Maybe we’ll visit at least some of our friends on this trip of 3,000 miles.
As for our stay in Washington DC, we may be there for two months. There is a lot of work to do on this mission to change the Forest Service regulations and to appeal for a redress of grievances regarding free and peaceable assembly on public lands. Pray that the Great Spirit will guide our every step.
If you have a voice to share about the issue of free and peaceable assembly as an American, please email me at themidnightwriter1@gmail.com so I can share it with the world. You can remain anonymous if you like. I want to share the voices of Americans with the Undersecretary of Agriculture and with members of Congress, so I need your help to do this. Please share your voice, your heart and your prayers with us. Send the emails. Play some Bob Marley music for Cephas and me. It is a long road and we could use the comfort.
If anyone can support this effort, even a dollar for gas or food or coffee at Starbucks while I compose blogs and legal letters for hours every day, I would be blessed, grateful and hip to it. Paypal is great. Send to photo_gent@mountainspiritproductions.org.
Thanks friends and may God bless us, every one.
