The Midnight Writers Freelance Quest

Hi! My name is Cheryl Lynn Gardner, better known to most people as Summer Breeze. I have had a passion for writing for years. I also enjoy pen names, being a fan of Benjamin Franklin. Some of my pen names have been "Mary Sunshine" and "Midnight Rider", which was used for my peace and healing work at rainbow gatherings. Hence, I chose a pen name that is a play on that name, The Midnight Writer. The association is obvious since I am a free lance and sometimes creative writing.

  • Almost a New Year

Exactly what does that mean to you?

For me, I always fall into old traditions of making New Years’s resolutions and taking stock in my life for the past year. It might be a good tradition if it helps to inspire reflections into our lives and into the lives of the state of our world.

Have you heard the expression, “March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb”?

That seems to apply to state of our world in its current crises, war, rumors of war, disasters, sickness, hunger, inflation, depression…all across the globe. One can only hope that the analogy above will mean that since the Middle East Peace erupted into full scale Middle East war will mean peace at the end of 2009. I will be praying hard.

The Middle East nations and all the supporting countries should make a New Year’s resolution to end the madness of fighting for terrritory and senseless killing and bloodshed to embrace a new world filled with peace and brotherhood, love of fellow man and plenty for all equally.

Hope might be futilely placed on humanity to do this alone.

That is most probably why God took matters into His hands, knowing the fallible nature of mortal mankind. God sent His Son, Yeshua the Meschiak, Jesus the Christ to redeem us. This will ensure that at least some of us will survive.

    Thank God.

My New Year’s resolution is to do everything in my abilities as a mere mortal helped with all the powers of heaven, to spread the message for peace on earth and brotherly love. I am making a list of resolutions now that might seem insurmountable for me alone. Indeed they are. So, I am enlisting the help of the heavenly hosts and my Father God in Heaven, in the Name of Jesus, the Christ to bring this to past.

    1. Pray everyday for peace on earth and love for our fellow humankind.
    2. Pray for healing of the hearts of people on earth that we will learn to love one another.
    3. Blog for Peace.
    4. Inspire others to blog for peace.
    5. Inspire others to pray together and alone for peace on earth and for love for one another.
    6. Continue the Middle East Peace blog and increase the posts to include news, prayers, letters
spiritual and world leaders to request meetings that will discuss peace options and mediation.
    7. To practice peace within my own soul on a daily basis so that it will show outwardly as an
expression of the love that my Heavenly Father has for each one of us.
    8. To tie up loose ends and to finish projects that have been lurking in my to do lists for a while.
    9. Finish my first novel.
    10. Travel to Israel and Jordan on a peace mission as a spiritual pilgrimage.
    11. To learn the Lord’s Prayer in Ancient Aramaic.
    12. To write to 300 world leaders asking for their help in the peace movement.
    13. Help as many needy people as possible who cross my path.
    14. Open communications and mend bridges in my own extended family.
    15. Meet President Elect Barack Obama.
    16. To chronicle this year’s freelance writing quest and to share what I learned. I plan 100 posts
    on this topic.

This list might be updated to have more added. I will update my progress throughout the year.
