The Midnight Writers Freelance Quest

Hi! My name is Cheryl Lynn Gardner, better known to most people as Summer Breeze. I have had a passion for writing for years. I also enjoy pen names, being a fan of Benjamin Franklin. Some of my pen names have been "Mary Sunshine" and "Midnight Rider", which was used for my peace and healing work at rainbow gatherings. Hence, I chose a pen name that is a play on that name, The Midnight Writer. The association is obvious since I am a free lance and sometimes creative writing.

  • Mother Nature is Really Getting my Attention

While traveling through South Carolina and Tennessee my hubby and I dodged a few severe thunderstorms and just missed some tornadoes last month. A little bit of cold weather caused a little discomfort on a few nights. Now this month, mother nature has gone into full spring labor pains. If she doesn’t deliver and birth spring soon, we could be in for some real turmoil. Already severe storms have occurred bringing floods, earthquakes, tornadoes and now the volcano in Alaska is erupting.

What next? Or should I say when will the next event come and how serious will it be?

On television tonight, there was a commercial for emergency band radios recommended by homeland security because there could be either a natural disaster or terrorist attack at any time.

Curious about all the extreme weather, I searched the weather headlines and checked out the space weather forecast from NASA. I found some very interesting reports.

To start with a headline from the Los Angeles Times tells of the damaging spring storm that hit the southeast. Tornadoes and flooding were a two day event in this unusual spring storm. My husband and I just passed through there a few days back and as I recall we did not want to linger while traveling through that area. I think we were sensing this intense storm hitting the region.
